During the preview and setting the wallpaper, having the option to choose between homescreen or lockscreen will be nice. There are some older apps that have this feature.

A quick technical note: the dialog box you're seeing is actually a standard, non-customizable part of the Android OS itself. Developers unfortunately don't have much control over it.

BUT, your core idea... that the experience should be more seamless and integrated is correct. You have inspired a much better idea: I am going to build an in-app pre-selection option directly into the preview screen, so you can make your choice inside the app's world before setting the wallpaper.
