App crashing on Wayland

Hello, I'm not able to start the app on Wayland session. What is current status of Wayland support? Should it work or am I doing something wrong? Using the latest release 0.23.1 in Hyprland, glib-2.84.3.

What is current status of Wayland support?

It's complicated (as with anything linux)

I have tested Museeks on Ubuntu-based distributions, with Wayland and x11. Things are usually working fine-ish, sometimes Wayland has some issues, like the app being a black screen, but I don't recall it ever crashing.

Could you go to ~/.config/museeks, open config.toml and set wayland_compat to true, try again, and tell me if you still face the same issue?

Can you also share some information on your setup (distribution, DE, etc). It's impossible for me to test and debug all distros and setup out there, but I can try to have a look

That did the trick, app now starts fine, but the audio playback is working only for a second or so, then it starts lagging. On bigger .flac files even goes to silent after a second and if I try to move it forward with progress bar, it closes playback with an error:

There is nothing in the terminal output.

It's impossible for me to test and debug all distros and setup out there, but I can try to have a look

I totally understand, that would be a really painful process to deal with before every new release to even cover some mainstream environments. I don't think you will be able to test my setup, because it's not a conventional one.

Can you send me one of those big flac files? I am aware of some file loading issues on Linux that I need to fix (some are in my control, and some less, but I'll have a look)

Sure, sent you an e-mail. I don't think it's a problem with specific files tho, even small .mp3s lag sometimes, but not as much. And I think these files were playing fine in different DE.

We don't load the files the same way on Linux, and people have reported issues with samba mounter partitions #909, so I will definitely have a look, thanks!

I just ran the file via Museeks via pop_os, I can reproduce a very bad stuttering issue, but no file corruption. I'll investigate ways to fix that
