It could be useful to have an additional field (registrar_expiration_date) for TLDs that support it, reflecting the contractual expiration date with the registrar (especially used by registrars that allow automatic renewal).

For example, here is what we get for a .com domain:

As it seems that:

• Registrar Registration Expiration Date is only available on .com and .net
• WHOIS will be replaced in favor of RDAP
• RDAP only supports the canonical expiration date related to Registry Expiry Date in WHOIS

I guess this issue could be ignored/closed.

and i expect there are more tools in active development now that whois is fading out.
