Well Isn't this
a container set to remove all data on close? Basically an isolated Incognito tab?
I really never saw the point in Incognito if you can set EVERY tab to remove cookies cache essentially all the container data.
Or am I missing some part of the functionality?
IMHO the integration with MoillaVPM that is able to assign locations to Container tabs would seem the only thing that makes it somewhat INCOGNITO or at least harder to track/profile your data. (I used different locations to bypass some API limitations it works well for this.)
I still see a lot of potential here (requires cooperation) but huge if done right... So ...
After I made a bunch of pre set Locales to use as Random Temp Container, forgets data on close, varying useragent etc.
WAY too much work, nobody would want to do this, bit I'd like my Temp tab to get these.
After some effort organising this in [MAIN] category forlders and subfolders
I found not only havinng a long list of locations impractical and what looks organised in the left side bar and in Container Tab Groups/Settinngs/Sorting... None of that when you open new tab you get a bit of a garbled list then for sure can't find annything scroling.
Since then when I make the mistake of not realising im in Firefox and hit + for new tab I basically say f it no container is just as 'ingognito' for now and any of my Non API rate limit avoidance purpose...
This was way too much OCD inducig effort as an experiment.. Here I hit a wall of untapped potential. Which is a shame..
Hence a last ditch effort to get some fire back in to the fox [or whatever get your creative juices flowing to burn midnight oil]
Suggestions:
Perhaps the dev(s) from (Firefox)
MozillaVPN,
Multi-Account Containers
Container Tab Groups
Can put their heads together to streamline integrating this awesome functionality to be able to have every tab in a different location, User agent, Language, proxy..
And more to maybe bring all this brilliant stuff that on its own is not AMAZING YET... And bundle forces for something cool, no GREAT.
But start finding a way to use MozillaVPN to
Assign a random location to any unspecified (not in your custom Container list)
a country in region for shoppig or langage etc .
I'd even go for grouping the pool to choose from i.e. if your browsing Language is set to ENG (You can get assigned UK, US, AUS and so on French, Spanish speaking countries OR perhaps it is best to keep shopping in mind so if you live in EU, say Amsterdam, it wont matter as you would want to compare ebay, amazon in UK, US, DE, As long as they have what you are looking for...
Maybe first try assigning some locations to those incognito in a can't ainers?
Bit long sorry but this could be so much better and IMHO a HUGE selling point for Mozilla!
If someone reads this at moz, buy me a coffe or say hi, it makes me happy to make things better.
