collapse short edges?

Hey!

Not a bug or a problem on my end, I'd just like to know if you have an intention to support collapsing edges shorter than a user-desired length or if that's already possible within the framework? In general having 'mesh surgery' in a package like this would be very useful since its so easy to install...
