how do i hide ui controls when pausing video while using just player

I use cx file explorer on my nvidia shield to connect to my video via smb connections. i prefer this to using something like kodi. I have tested numerous video players including VLC. VLC may work on windows, but it sucks on the Shield. Just player is the best I have found for the Shield. I would like to be able to hide the ui when pausing video and see no way of doing so. Someone say a previous version of Just player works, but did not state which version or way to download it. Any ideas where?
