Use with httr2 possible?

I finished reading HTTP Testing in R and in exploring next steps, I'd like to implement caching. I'm partial to httr2 so I'm curious if httpcache can be used with httr2 vs. httr?

The implementation of httpcache is coupled to httr so you wouldn't be able to use it with httr2. That said, the logic isn't that complicated, so writing a version that would wrap httr2::req_perform() probably wouldn't be that difficult.

Also, httr2 has a req_cache() function: https://httr2.r-lib.org/reference/req_cache.html It's different in that it relies on the cache control headers that the server emits, and doesn't do cache invalidation like httpcache does. But depending on your use case, it might be what you want.
