Unable to search / Filter

I'm using PQSelect (1.3.0) with jqGrid . Also tried 1.3.2 with same results.

Everything works great for years apart for one bug that i can't seem to solve.
When adding a record in jqGrid and the menu opens and shows the PQSelect element (empty of any selected items) it's not possible to search / filter. you simply cant type anyting in the search line

Any click there will show "[Violation] Forced reflow while executing JavaScript took 57ms" in console.

If i choose any option (1 or more), save and reload the page to that the PQSelect will have at least one item selected than the search fill work well.

any ideas?
