Interlocutor demo/index.html is currently using a normal user account/login to provide application access to rooms. While this is hidden in the UI it basically means that all client users have access to one shared-account and there is no way to prevent abuse. Probably should run some kind of reasonable fork of Synapse until than (and use amaznev.matrix.org sefrver for the demo instead of matrix.org until it is resolved upstream).

This has been changed to use a new guest login via guest registration on the client side. Still this has a number of drawbacks 1d4679d

a) HomeServer's must support Guest Registration
b) All rooms used by Interlocutor must be created with shared_history: "world_readable" and guest_access: true
