Look, this EBME (in the case of Earthbound's map editor) is good to use, as far as I can tell. But the problem is that when I install it in EBME.bin, it doesn't work in Java. And also in EBME.Exe, when I install it, it seems to say that this is a virus. What can I do to be able to simply edit the maps in Earthbound?
Detail: In EBME.Bin, I didn't even know what I was going to do in this part of installation, I thought it would work with java, but it wasn't working.

EBME.bin is the release for Linux. EBME.exe is the release for Windows. Windows Defender often flags it as a virus for the same reason it flags CoilSnake for as a virus - it's Python code underneath an executable program.

To fix this, look up how to add an exception to Windows Defender (and/or whatever other antivirus you use).

There are currently two EarthBound map editors you can use with a CoilSnake project. One is EB Project Editor, which comes with CoilSnake (open CoilSnake and go to Tools --> EB Project Editor to open it), and the other is EBME.

EB Project Editor is the older of the two. For a while, it was the only option. It's written in the Java programming language (since it was based on an older EB hacking tool written entirely in Java), and it needs the Java runtime in order to run. If you download it on its own, it's available as a .jar file; otherwise, it's bundled in with the CoilSnake EXE and you don't need to download it separately, as long as you're using a fully released version of CoilSnake like 4.2.

EBME is a new/different project written in Python. It doesn't require Java at all. But Python on its own isn't good at making programs you can just download and run, so projects are forced to use something that bundles an entire copy of the Python interpreter code (or a suitable equivalent) and all the code that a project uses into one .exe/.app/.elf file. So EBME is distributed as an EXE for Windows users and an ELF for Linux users (this is the .bin file). Antivirus programs seem to not like this, especially heuristic-based approaches that use machine learning (you can tell if machine learning was used to identify a threat in Windows Defender if it says the name of the threat ends in !ml). EBME is most likely perfectly safe to run, but it's distributed in a way that antivirus programs have accidentally learned to be wary of.

@PhoenixBound @Supremekirb thank you for the information you have given me, but I think this is going to be very difficult and with problems installing python. I even wanted to do it in the hack rom in Earthbound, but I changed my mind, but thanks for the explanation

To be clear, you don't need to install Python to use CoilSnake or EBME. That's why they're distributed as EXEs in the first place, so that you don't have to install Python yourself.
