Description
- There is documentation of how regular backups of the Postgres production database can be accessed and restored
- We practice the documented procedure on staging
Implementation notes
We do have documentation of dumping and restoring a production database to staging.
What we want for this ticket is step-by-step instructions on restoring one of the automatically-created backups to production in case of an emergency, and to practice that procedure.
Review documentation and create instructions for using the automated backups. If the process is generic, link to it from the application README.
