Loss of parent folder when unzipping a measurement file

What happened?

Hello! I was working with files from a specific project and while unzipping the measurement.zip file to get to the FASTQs on my computer with the command line, the parent folder was lost. As the FASTQ files didn't have the sample ID on the file name, it was very cumbersome to link the file again to the correct sample. The same problem was reported by another external user.
If I unzipped by double clicking, the parent folder is retained, however, this is not something that will be able to be done on the cluster.
Is there something that can be done?
