Poor Install Directions and Instructions! #1133

I guess I have to apologize for not being able to install Smarty 5 and getting it to work. I am sure I am missing something that you intended me to not miss! I am trying to install it on Ubuntu Server 24.04. Configuration instructions are incomplete and do not provide precise instructions. I used Composer to install Smarty 5 and the instructions there are very confusing. I don't know if you have ever received similar comments but even with a PhD in IT, I just cannot understand how to get this thing to work. But, like I said in the first sentence above, I blame myself for not being able to understand and follow your directions.
