How can I have SMPlayer adhere to my DE's appearance defaults?

When I install smplayer-25.6.0-2.fc43, “Preferences” > “Interface” > “Style” is, by default, not set to “Default”, but “Fusion”, and “Default” doesn't apply my DE's default QStyle of Breeze; instead, I must manually select it, which means that when I change QStyles DE-wide, I must manually replicate this inside SMPlayer. Is this deliberate? I presume so, but cannot fathom why.

Similarly, the “icon set” option doesn't appear to enumerate kcm_icons-installed /usr/share/icons. smplayer-themes-0:25.6.0-2.fc43.noarch improves this ¹ significantly, somehow also managing to force the main viewport to adhere to breeze.*\.desktop's QStyle and, its QPalette. ² However, when lookandfeeltool -a emits a org.freedesktop.appearance.color-scheme modification event, it doesn't adhere to that. Therefore, I presume that it's not enumerating these QPalettes via KColorScheme:
