Additional context
On SMPlayer video is playing but with a really bad frame rate like it's 0.2x speed.
I tried /usr/bin/vlc as well and it plays the video well.

What about playing it with MPlayer directly? Both things work properly for me in here, i'm using:

Version: 25.6.0 (revision 10369)
Using Qt 5.15.18 (compiled with Qt 5.15.17)
Using MPV v0.40.0-dirty

It might be related to a missing codec or a wrong video driver selected in smplayer options.

Possible reasons, problems, workarounds:
- Most common: broken/buggy _audio_ driver
  - Try -ao sdl or use the OSS emulation of ALSA.
  - Experiment with different values for -autosync, 30 is a good start.
- Slow video output
  - Try a different -vo driver (-vo help for a list) or try -framedrop!
- Slow CPU
  - Don't try to play a big DVD/DivX on a slow CPU! Try some of the lavdopts,
    e.g. -vfm ffmpeg -lavdopts lowres=1:fast:skiploopfilter=all.
- Broken file

MPlayer gives Your system is too SLOW to play this! error but in reality my system is good enough:

I tried many different option like:

but none of them solved the issue. It says audio problem but on the video the problem is with video actually.

Everything else with my audio is fine [spotify, browser etc. (except a movie that was played with SMPlayer in the past)]

I tried

but it was the same error.

Later I tried to open with GNOME Videos (Totem) and it gave
meta/x-gst-fourcc-mebx-decoder is required to play the file, but is not installed.
warning but played it fine. I learned that it's an upstream GStreamer issue:

Later I tried

gst-play-1.0 IMG_3027.MOV # worked fine but 90 degrees rotated
ffplay IMG_3027.MOV # worked fine

To make sure I installed mpv.
I changed SMPlayer Multimedia Engine to mpv. (Options -> Preferences -> General -> Multimedia Engine -> mpv)
Playing the video with SMPlayer (with mpv) works better than SMPlayer (with MPlayer). This time speed problem is fixed but frame rate was still low.

Opening the video directly with mpv shows color in reverse + psychedelic colors.

At the end I fix the issue with 2 ways (only SMPlayer with mpv):

Options -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Mplayer/mpv -> Options:

Option1: - I pasted: -hwdec=auto (This fixes the color and fps problem but video is always rotated, not even changing rotation from Video->Rotate works)

Option 2: I pasted --vf="scale=1920:-2", it fixes all the problems.

@smplayer-dev Why smplayer doesn't come with mpv directly, isn't mplayer too old? It took a lot of time for me to fix this issue just to play a video.

I think that mpv is the default option when you have that installed. If smplayer does not see it, it will fallback to mplayer to work, i guess.
