[Note] Handpan Scales  #11

Description

@spen

"The scale of a handpan is determined by which notes it has and which notes it does not have. Handpans are not chromatic instruments, meaning they can’t play every note possible like a piano or a guitar, but instead are bound to the notes of one single musical scale, like a harmonica, or certain flutes."

So, for our technical purposes this means:

  • A handpan is made up of a set of arbitrary notes
  • We need min & max limits for how many notes a handpan would have
  • We need a library of handpan scales. I've just started a new project where we can keep those and let others contribute to, but for now we can start off with just the 5 in this file.

One of the main motivations for this project is to make it easier to find the right handpan out of this full range of possibilities, here are some words on how to choose a handpan.
