Vector is a robot created by Anki in 2018. He's a cute, animated little guy who just wants to make your day a little better, while also being useful at the same time.

He is far more convincing as a character than any other social robot I have seen.

Anki went bankrupt in 2019. In 2025, his source code was leaked, and I took on the task of maintaining it.

Vector is complicated. His C++ codebase is ancient, stemming from the days of Anki Drive. Qualcomm stopped supporting his APQ8009 chip years ago. The original Yocto Jethro OS lost support in early 2017.

I am dedicated to modernizing Vector's code, build system, and OS.
