plus editor Notes do not display on tablet app / buttons outside screen

Describe the bug
When opening notes made with plus editor, a blank white box shows instead of the expected text box (the box is white regardless of color scheme).
Furthermore, the bottom of the app is not visible. Can only just make out the top part of the new note circle. I can't see buttons such as theme change.

To Reproduce
Open the tablet version of standard notes and choose any note edited with plus editor
Wiping cache and all data and trying again did nothing.

The bottom of the app remains outside the screen no matter what I click..

It works fine in browser on the same tablet. Also tested om on desktop browser and iPhone app and all works fine there too.

Expected behavior
Notes should appear instead of a white box. I should see the bottom of the app screen.
