[Suggestion] Implement waypoint system added in 25w15a.

The new waypoint system is the backbone of the new locator bar, and can be used for so much more than just tracking players. Through datapacks, you can configure it to be a mob radar, quest objective tracker, etc.

I would like to humbly request that this mod implement this amazing feature 👍

Just to clarify, because the /waypoint command and all the associated features are only available in the new version, do you want basically a complete backport of these new features? It's certainly possible, and I will likely do it, but it will take a significant amount of time.

I play on 1.21.1 atm. Create: Aero is currently projected to release on that version so it's likely many people will move to 1.21.1.

The newest version of PLP, 2.1.0, is ported to 1.21.x, so that's no problem.
