Development of CloudCompare Python Plugin

I am developing an algorithm related to point clouds. The built-in Python compiler in CloudCompare does not support interactive parameter input. I want to create a plugin similar to "Plugin -> Python Plugin -> Plugins -> 3D Forest Inventory". After clicking the icon, users should be able to input parameters through a UI interface. However, I have not found any specific tutorials for this.

Thank you so much. I had finished my plugin. But now i meet a problem. Does the Python environment in CloudCompare support multithreading?

Yes it mostly should depending on what you do

For example, you cannot update the UI in another thread than the main thread

And if you use multiprocessing and not multithreading then its a bit more weird #145
