Clearance with SAMD21 hand-wired #1

Hi @weteor, I just wanted to say thank you for creating such a beautiful keyboard! I love the design ❤️.
This is not an issue with the keyboard, but I wanted to ask whether this can be hand-wired with SAMD21. What's the clearance with SAMD21? The reason I prefer hand-wiring over PCB is that none of my friends are interested in this type of keyboard (they prefer a "normal" keyboard), so there's no point in ordering PCBs when the minimum order quantity is 5 pieces.
