AllowedApps and DisallowedApps not working as intended?

For some reason, the traffic of certain applications is intercepted, even with exceptions in place. For example, if I add the BRAVE browser to the exceptions, the traffic in it won't be encrypted. Or if I add only the Microsoft Edge browser to AllowedApps, the traffic will be encrypted only in it. But here's the problem: when I launch an online game, even if the settings indicate that only the traffic in the browser should be encrypted, for some reason, it processes the game traffic as well. This causes increased ping and occasional packet loss. What information do I need to provide for a full diagnosis of the issue?
