clean build

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
OSX Yosemite, Apple LLVM version 6.0 (clang-600.0.51) (based on LLVM 3.5svn)

Please provide any additional information below.
Following patch fixes build error (due to malloc.h and warnings due to unused 
variables)
