Why I can't add a button?

Hi, I want to add one button on the camera view so that when I click the button I can go to another UIViewController. I tried several methods. The button can fulfill the function to show some text on the Camera View. Why the code "presentModalViewController" can't work?

i am stuck on this too. any ideas? need to add 3 buttons

button 1: click to play video (same view, or new view)
button 2: open 3d object (Blender, Unity etc) on top of AR
button 3: open 4 small buttons on top of the AR
