Error for openning the DREAM

Hi, I try to run the DREAM on my PC. I use the MATLAB R2016a and also set the path. However, when I enter the DREAM in the command line, the error occurred as following.

error using DREAM
error: file:DREAM.mlapp Row: 111 column: 40
The input character is not valid in MATLAB statements or expressions.

Anyone know how to fix it ?

Try with a new MATLAB version, at least MATLAB2018. The old version may not be available for the '.mlapp'.
