What is the PLib?

The Privacy Library (PLib) was developed at the DAI-laboratory with the goal to increase Android app user's data privacy by informing the user every time an app is accessing private data.
At the same time it's meant as a simple to use tool for Android developers, who are either interested in implementing a high security standard for their app users or who have limited knowledge about data security.

Future implementations

The long-term goal for this project is to develop this into an established standard for Android data privacy. To be more precise, we want to introduce a seal of approval for apps, that use the PLib correctly. With such seal developers we hope to grant developers a competitive advantage.
