Virtual machine first start configuration assistant.

Prerequisites

Here are some prerequisites needed by Genesys

• dialog
• python2-pythondialog
• debinterface
• confparse

Installation

prerequisites

Debian

apt-get install dialog python-pip
pip install python2-pythondialog debinterface confparse

CentOS/RHEL 7

yum install epel-release
yum install dialog python-pip
pip install python2-pythondialog debinterface confparse

genesys

systemd:

Debian

wget https://github.com/Clever-Net-Systems/Genesys/releases/download/0.7/genesys-0.7.deb
dpkg -i genesys-0.7.deb

CentOs/RHEL

wget https://github.com/Clever-Net-Systems/Genesys/releases/download/0.7/genesys-0-7.el7.x86_64.rpm
yum localinstall genesys-0-7.el7.x86_64.rpm

SystemV:

Genesys does not support SystemV anymore.

Usage

Genesys is based on systemd. You can easily turn on or down the genesys service like this:

Enable Genesys for the next boot

After installing the genesys deb file, genesys is actived for the next reboot by defaut.

systemctl enable genesys.service

Disable Genesys

systemctl disable genesys.service

! When leaving the Genesys assistant, by default, the Genesys wizard is disabled !
