Features in Sprinks

Sprinks contains a wide variety of features including new blocks, items, biomes, and tools. These features mimic vanilla Minecraft in style and functionality. Most new features build off of existing vanilla features, giving the game a more finished feel.

Stone Variants

Various new variants of stone items and blocks have been added for each Minecraft stone. Added variants include:

Ancient Caves

Ancient Caves are a new cave biome generating in dry areas. Ancient Caves generate with the following features:

Cobalt

Cobalt is a new material ranked between Iron and Diamond. They have the mining power and damage of Diamond tools, but have slightly less durability, protection, and mining speed. Cobalt was added to rebalance Minecraft progression, giving more value to diamonds. Cobalt generates most commonly in the upper Deepslate layer. Cobalt is also poor with enchanting. It is meant as a stepping stone between Diamond and Iron and is supposed to be more expendable than diamond.

Cobalt is implemented through the following features:

Azalea Wood

Azalea wood is a new wood type that replaces the oak wood in azalea trees.

Oil

Oil is a new ore block used for fuel, crafting, and decoration. It is obtained by mining Oil Shale in Ancient Caves. Oil can be used to craft Oil Lamps as well as placed as Oil Spills. The oil spill can be used to make decorative fires as well as destructive fires.

Oil Lamps

Oil Lamps are a new light source intended for cave use. It is crafted with oil, amethyst, and any cobbled stone. Oil lamps can be placed underwater and on the edges of blocks. Oil lamps also work great with Sacks, allowing for up to 8 stacks of oil lamps being stored in 1 sack item.

Sacks

Sacks are a new inventory management tool.
