The following is a recommended builder order for players that seek to build the biggest and strongest town possible.
- Build a shelter. Farm wheat, sugar cane, potatoes, carrots, and flowers if you can.
- Build a ranch once you have 96 wheat. The beef will be your first source of income.
- Next the lumberyard will provide enough raw materials to fuel your construction. Other buildings like the cobble_quarry, dye_works, sheep_farm, etc. will be helpful.
- The coal_shop can sell charcoal from the lumberyard to provide even more income.
- Once you have $500 make a council_room with leather from the ranch to make your bookshelves.
- Next build the settlement, which will give TNT protection within its bounds.
- Now that you have a town, build a potato_farm.
- Put those potatoes to good use by building 2 shacks. Upgrade one of them to a hovel and sell it if possible to anyone you can recruit to your town. Continue selling houses if you can.
- Build an arrow_factory, purifier, smithy, and church. These will greatly increase your town's power.
- Add shacks and upgrade them to npc_shacks until you have 5 population.
- Now you can build the hamlet. It might be advisable to set up walls at this point.
- If you can, build a jade_shop or jade_mine and trade with another town who has whichever one you didn't build.
- Build the warehouse to help distribute items to your regions and further increase the town's power.
- Build a library and begin enchanting items to further increase the appeal of the town to potential new members.
- An iron_mine and iron_shop will further help increase your income.
- Continue building housing, npc_housing, and farms until you reach 10 population. At that point build the village.
- For fast traveling, build a stables.
- Build either the inn or the barracks to give you extra housing. This'll allow you to add people and let them build their own houses.
- Build a graveyard next to unify the town in case of war and increase your power.
- Upgrade the council_room to a town_hall and build the town upgrade when you have 20 population.
Continue building housing, farms, and utilities. Upgrade the town as you can.
Good luck out there!
