After a reboot, you need to re-set the iptables junk:
sudo iptables -A INPUT -p icmp --icmp-type 8 -j LOG --log-prefix "[ping-hammer]"
To run the ping listener:
cd ~/telehack/ballPing
sudo ./ping-listener
