🚲 Custom maps for the Gramin 520

Create the required map

• http://garmin.openstreetmap.nl/

• keep the file size under 90mb

• set the map type to "Routable"

• select the required area

• enter email and request map

• download the generated map (openfietsmap_lite_gmapsupp.zip)

Installing on the Garmin 520

Backup your current map file

• connect the garmin to your PC
• open the Garmin directory
• save a local copy of the gmapbmap.img file

copy the new map file

• copy the gmapsupp.img file to the Garmin directory
• rename the file to gmapbmap.img
• unplug and restart your Garmin

You can view the map, but you'll need to within the area otherwise you will just get a blank page.
