v1.3.1: Groups, Notes & Better Logos

🚀 What's New in v1.3.1

This is the ultimate version of MailAvatarSync, focusing on organization and data quality.

✨ New Features

• Smart Grouping: Automatically adds all processed contacts to a dedicated group (MailAvatarSync) in your Address Book. Keeps your contacts list organized.
• Source Tagging: Adds a timestamped note to new contacts (e.g., "Auto-created by MailAvatarSync on..."), so you always know where a contact came from.
• Transparency First: Changed the image fetching priority. The script now looks for transparent PNG icons (via FaviconKit) before falling back to standard logos with white backgrounds.

⚡️ Improvements

• Silent Mode: Removed intrusive pop-up notifications. All activity is now logged silently to the system Console (search for MailAvatarSync).
• No Blacklist: The script now processes all incoming emails to ensure no important service logo is missed.
• Safe Updates: Existing user-set photos are never overwritten.

📦 Installation

1. Download MailAvatarSync.scpt.zip below.
2. Unzip and move the file to: ~/Library/Application Scripts/com.apple.mail/
3. Set up a Rule in Apple Mail to run this script.
