This PR rolls together a few small, miscellaneous changes:
filetype optional (and rmv unused code)I noticed the zodex page at https://www.npmjs.com/package/zodex was empty of a README and links to your repo, so added those while keeping the main repo README.md in place.

ncurc.cjsfile is for preventingnpm-check-updatesfrom auto-updatingtype-festto its now ESM-only version.
