A list of ideas, websites, and goals that we should keep in mind if we want to do this right.

(Feel free to edit this doc as a stream-of-consciousness type deal)

  • If you're a CCIS freshman/transfer and you don't know what Crew is, what info should the site have?

  • If you're a Crew member, what information should the site have?

  • The site should have one sentence on what Crew is. "We're a group of students that hack on cool projects to make our college a better place."

  • The site should list projects that we are doing and have done.

  • The site should have a picture of Crew.

  • The site should highlight our 4(?) most important projects/achievements. (One of these is Crew U)

  • The site should make it easy for someone who is interested in Crew to find an active member (in person, online, or on IRC) to follow up

  • MIT's SIPB has been around a lot longer than CREW, and part of what they do is similar to what we do. There are probably some good lessons we can learn from their website.
