### Control measures

- Users must clear the area of flammable materials before any welding takes place
- Metal welding table installed, walls/conduits shielded
- Fire extinguisher installed in the welding area

## Fumes

Users, and other people in the room may breathe harmful fumes from the welding process.

### Control measures

- Users trained to prep and clean their workpieces, reducing fumes.
- Large extractor fan installed beside the welding area and is capable of cycling the room air once every 70 seconds

## Gas bottle falling over

### Who may be harmed & how

Any person nearby. If the valve were damaged, cylinder could become a projectile.

### Control measures

- Only cylinders that have been inspected for safety and come from a reputable supplier can be used.
- Gas bottle should be chained to wall, out of the way

## Burns from hot objects

User, and possibly others nearby, may suffer burns from handling hot objects.

### Control measures

- Users trained to use appropriate tools and PPE, and to leave the area safe for other users
- Signage installed to remind others there may be hot objects left there

## Oxygen depletion from compressed gas release

### Who may be harmed & how

Any person in the room may suffer from asphyxiation.

### Control measures

- Amount of gas in the room is limited to ensure oxygen levels remain safe, even after accidental release.
- Ventilation installed

## UV Radiation Exposure
