Installation

First start a new blank codespace by going to https://github.com/codespaces/ and choosing the "Blank" template. Then copy and paste this command in your codespace terminal and hit enter.

Usage

After installation:

📋 Logging and Troubleshooting

MassiVM includes comprehensive logging to help with installation and troubleshooting:

Automatic Logging:

  • Installation Logs: All installation output is captured to logs/ directory
  • Real-time Viewer: Web-based log viewer at http://localhost:8081 during installation
  • Timestamped Files: Each installation creates a unique log file

Viewing Logs:

# View logs via web interface (from parent directory)
python3 view-logs.py

# Access at: http://localhost:8081
# Shows container status and all log files

Log Files:

  • Location: logs/massivm_install_YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS.log
  • Content: Complete installation output including errors
  • Format: Plain text, easily searchable

Troubleshooting:

  • Check logs for specific error messages
  • Verify container status in log viewer
  • Review installation steps in chronological order
  • Contact support with log file contents

💾 Persistent Storage

Important: GitHub Codespaces lose data when closed. MassiVM includes persistent storage features:

Automatic Features:

  • Persistent Data: Files stored in PersistentData/ directory
  • Auto-Backup: Hourly backups to Backups/ directory
  • Configuration: Settings saved in Save/ directory

Manual Backup/Restore:

Cloud Sync:
