Fixed an issue with relative string paths in the async functions.

Changed backend to use pyinstaller-compiled python scripts (.exe files). Removed the github release update manager search. This was erroring, possibly because of the issues noted here.

TODO: Clean the git history of large files (remote repository here on github will be behind local version until complete...)
