2.5.4.dev0 has been out for a while with the new bindings. They seem to be functioning well. 2.6.0 is a complete rewrite of all bindings and the build. This change will likely be breaking in some subtle ways as function apis have become more pythonic and similar to the C++ functions they wrap. The new bindings are fortunately much easier to maintain so any issues should be more swiftly addressed. Making new bindings is also much more straightforward so hopefully community will help contribute the missing ones, especially any old ones that don't exist in the new bindings yet. The tutorial is wildly out of date. It should probably just be taken down, but that's left to a future date. |
