I’m a Data Scientist and researcher with 10+ years of experience at the intersection of machine learning, biomedical engineering, and public policy.
🔬 I’m currently a PhD candidate in Biomedical Engineering at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, where my research focuses on eye-tracking, computational neuroscience, and machine learning for early screening of Parkinson’s disease.
Previously, I:
- Directed the Data Science Center at the Government School of Tec de Monterrey
- Taught graduate-level courses in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence
- Worked as a Data Science Specialist at McKinsey & Co.
- Earned an MSc in Data Science (magna cum laude), with a thesis on Reinforcement Learning (extended abstract)
My work spans applied machine learning, signal processing, and healthcare AI, with publications on speech and oculography for Parkinson’s disease and experience mentoring graduate research projects.
Outside of research and teaching, I enjoy chess, salsa dancing, gardening, and learning languages.
