A romhack for New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Pods Mario Bros. Wii is a result of mine and my roommates' obsession with the New Super Mario Bros. game for the Wii console. After playing over ten NSMBW mods, we decided it was finally time to take the step of creating our own. This in-development mod has customized menus, logos, and new level layouts. Mostly it's goofy references to my university experiences, but the goal is for it to also be enjoyable to play.
Playing the game with the Dolphin Emulator is easy! Just download the contents of this repository into a folder in your Dolphin Riivolution folder (under the Load/Riivolution folder). You can access this by clicking File > Open User Folder in Dolphin, then navigating to the Load and Riivolution folders. Then move the PodsMario.xml file into Load/Riivolution/riivolution.
Open Dolphin, then right click the original game, then click "Start with Riivolution Patches", then "Open Riivolution XML".

If you use USB Loader GX or WiiFlow to play your ripped games from a USB, SD, or HDD it may be more convenient to create a playable WBFS file for this mod. You can use the Riivolution ISO Builder (Windows only) to do this. Just download the latest RiivolutionIsoBuilder.zip release and then extract it to your computer. Download the contents of this repository to the same folder, and place your legally-obtained NSMBW ISO or WBFS file in the folder as well. Then run the following command in a command prompt in the ISO Builder folder to generate a WBFS file:

All of the copyright for Super Mario Bros. and the Wii brand name belongs to Nintendo. This project falls under the parody clause of fair use. Playing this mod requires a legally-obtained copy of the original New Super Mario Bros. Wii game.
