Fixes the default syntax to the more recent version and add custom port functionality, as config was being ignored.
The other pre-commit error and lint warning are fixed in #50 so probably best merge that first
Also adds some code to more deeply alphabetize the output of the combined syntaxes so that file difs become less chaotic
