So, Git was giving me the old:
fatal: CRLF would be replaced by LF in atusdata/atusact_2013/Activity2013_info.txtIt's such a classic error that there's even a comic about it:

To fix it, I used:
git config --global core.autocrlf falseAs for the assignment, I took the liberty of doing the Movie Lens Data & Bit.ly/Data.gov exercises from the Python For Data Analysis book. Both really helped me understand Pandas better and I actually feel a lot more comfortable overall with pure Python.
I also brushed up on some Markdown which should be cool for future iPython notebooking.
On to machine learning!
