ClearView Observability (CVO) helps you plan satellite coverage. Select an area of interest and pick a date range to get a CVO Score (0-100), confidence, visual/structural observability, days-to-clear, and a recommended sensor stack from Sentinel-1/2 and ERA5.

ClearView Observability (CVO) (This repo is still a WIP)

An Earth‑observation observability engine that answers, “When can I actually see this area?” by combining historical cloudiness, sensor cadence, and sensor type to produce actionable metrics instead of imagery.

Inputs: AOI GeoJSON + date range (default last 90 days)
Outputs: CVO Score (0–100), confidence score (0–100), visual/structural observability, expected days‑to‑clear (p50/p80), recommended sensor stack, JSON report
Sensors (MVP): Sentinel‑1 (SAR) and Sentinel‑2 (optical)
Sensor selection: The sensors list drives which pipelines run. Unselected channels return null outputs (with a note), and the CVO score uses only the selected channel(s) (weights forced to 1.0/0.0 when only one is selected). Deselected sensors skip external calls (GEE/CDSE/ERA5), reducing runtime and cost. Climatology (MVP): ERA5 total cloud cover monthly means. Uses a rolling 30‑year month‑of‑year baseline to fill missing daily optical values; response notes indicate the baseline window and when climatology was used.

Official demo site: TBD
