Cotton is considered a crop added by Click For Hot Chicks.
Cotton is considered a bush crop, which means they can be planted on dirt or grass. They do not need farmland or water to grow.
Cotton is harvested by right-clicking them, after which they return to an earlier crop stage instead of breaking. Mature cotton bushes yield 1-2 cotton when harvested by the player.
Unlike the majority of crops, cotton is not edible, and is instead used as a sustainable way to farm string. Since string can also eventually be crafted into wool, growing cotton is a possible vegan alternative to keeping animals for wool.
As a bush crop, cotton is vulnerable to damage from animals.
Cotton does not generate in the world naturally, and must be traded from villagers. Novice-level farmer villagers have a chance to sell 4 cotton for 1 emerald.
Garlic, in the place of carrots or potatoes, can be an extremely rare drop from zombies.

Placing cotton into a composter has a 65% chance of raising the compost level by 1.
Cotton cannot be used in cooking, and is not edible. Instead, it is used to craft string without needing to kill or hunt spiders.
